It’s no secret that everybody loves Fall, whether you adore it for the slight chill in the air, the smell of the oncoming winter, the glorious and fun vacations, or the brightly coloured leaves, everybody can find something to enjoy about the months of Fall. The red maple tree is one of the faves of gardeners and tree planters in the US because it’s a quickly maturing tree that offers a dense shade and also offers some of the most brilliant reds, oranges and yellows that Fall has ever seen.
Certain types of this tree are coloured in the autumn colours in the warm summer months and the months of spring and display one more Fall color in the months of Fall, just before Winter. This is one of the most inspiring and pretty displays of color and life that may be found in a deciduous tree. This tree is also one of the most flexible trees in the U. S.
The trees are robust and will conform to each soil type, wherever you decide to plant them. An engaging feature of the red maple tree that many folks don’t realize is that some varieties essentially bear a little red fruit. These trees will flower from late March thru early April-an mystifyingly short blooming time-and will start to supply the little red fruit in the early summer. As well as red leaves, these trees also have twigs and stems that seem to be red also. As well as its fruit-bearing capabilities, this tree’s sap may be employed to make sugar, though it won’t be of the same quality as sugar made of the sap of a sugar maple tree. The red maple tree is capable of being crossed with other maple trees to create phenomenal hybrids which produce not only fruit but also leaves in a big range of colours. These hybrids are a selection of the most fantastic glasses in the tree world.
Remember, if you’re hunting for a simple to control and simple to grow tree which will make your home the envy of the area, you simply can’t fail with a red maple tree-whether you select a standard fiery red, a cross-breed, or one of many other available colours, you will fall madly in love with the colours of Fall all the year round.

Xmas is a period of joy and party and also the time to find the ideal holiday gifts. It can be actually hard to find the ideal gift for that special somebody year in and year out so it requires a lot of effort, thought and creativity to come up with that special something each single year.
Christmas gifts are often most successful when you start thinking early in the year what Xmas gifts for hubby or Xmas gifts for other half would be special. If you permit yourself to wait till the end of the season you are taking the risk whether you’ll have sufficient time to find that special present. You could also run the enormous risk it could be sold out. So, it cannot be stressed enough that you start thinking of Xmas gifts for him and her early on.
If you’re out with chums one night and you hear your wife say that she has always wanted a diamond tennis bracelet, then jot it down out of view and think on it. Is a present you can afford? Will your better half expect it? Try and be creative and sly yet take cues from that special somebody in your life so you purchase something the will adore and have always hankered after but would never expect. The same goes for all of the better halves out there. Hear your man and what he asserts. You will hear him say that he always needed to go on a week long fishing trip with his boy or he’s been looking for a physique body by using P90X. There are such a lot of things we are saying across the year that we’d like to have!
Start early on in the year, be aware of everything you hear, and then closer towards Xmas you can pull out your notes and see which present concept would be most suitable for that special somebody as well as your budget!

Wall Art placement is a skill in itself. So do not be in a rush to fill that exposed space. We have all heard, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” it’s correct. But in my experience many ways of displaying Art are better than others. Take single vs multiple pieces of art.
A lone tiny picture on an enormous wall surface looks too alone and begs for some company. If you have got a number of tiny works of art they not only bring contrasting beauty and richness to the wall but can be prepared together as a group to make art out of art!
Mats not only enlarge art, but give them a finished touch and dresses them up. 2 layers of matting can add more depth to the art. Art should be placed roughly 6″- 9″ above a settee or a bit of furniture. In order for it to be seen at eye level when you’re seated. Always employ a tape measure and a pencil to mark your centre, and make an experiment with the placement on the floor before making holes on the wall.

Since men have different temperaments and interests, you can’t just ram the gifts you purchase for them down their throats because you did not have the time to meditate on the sort of present that is excellent for them. You do not wish to give gifts that’ll gather dust in the attic, so get them those pleasant personalized coffee mugs that even your hard-nosed chairman will be happy to have.
Men are outrageous hypocrites, and they adore the notice they can get from the females in their circle. Receiving gifts make them feel special, though they will not admit it. But the issue is what to give them? It feels like they have everything and are self-sufficient when getting things for themselves. Their macho image will not permit girls to see that they are excited to get gifts. Secretly, they will bless you for not taking them seriously at all, and what do you know? They will hope for more gifts when the next birthday or promotion comes around, but still pretend gifts are for small girls and ladies.
There are gifts that range between the practical, geeky, and to the unbelievable. You will be a spoilsport when everybody has wrapped some surprises and you are standing there regretting you did not trouble to get a present simply because they exclaimed so. These are some ideas which will help you out : The man who loves to tinker with machinery – protecting gear for the eyes and hands, tools, Swiss armed forces knives, and DIY manuals. The impressive Chairman – card cases, Cross Pens engraved with their initials, chic pocket watches, and one of those provoking padfolios which will make him really feel just like the gigantic manager. The caffeiniacs – personalised mugs and coasters, coffee recipes, and a freebie at the closest Starbucks. The bar enthusiast – barware and bar gifts, hip flasks, or a bottle of his favourite wine.
Still worried about the ideal gift? Think food. Men love to eat, and knowing their favourite nibbles will help you out of the pit. There are gourmet baskets for the gourmand and you can pop brownies into the stove or dish up a stew that’ll draw appreciative lip-smacking. The instant you offer your gifts, watch their faces light up with pleasure. There is no male in the world who doesn’t appreciate a considerate present, regardless of what he is saying.

The 1st impression you’ll have on many of your marriage guests is the invitation you send them in the post. Inexpensive wedding invitation kits are the way to go these days, as they’re much friendlier to the marriage budget than having them professionally broadcast. Besides, you’ve got more say in how your invites look when you do them yourself. They aren’t tough to create, and might be finished and prepared to mail in only one day. Craft stores, as well as malls like Wal-Mart, sell marriage invite kits that contain blank pages, envelopes, and stickers for you to use to build your own inexpensive customized marriage invites. They come in a selection of colours and styles, so you have many to choose between. The colours of your invite should reflect the colours selected for the event so that everything flows together.
When you have your marriage invite kit selected, it’s time to get to work. You want to decide what you want to pen within each invitation. When I say write, I mean type. Most wedding invitations are not handwritten, as it would probably take forever to get them done that way. However, if you are feeling you have gorgeous penmanship, by all means, go right ahead.
Above everything else, you have to be sure to incorporate the basic info about your marriage in the inexpensive personalised marriage invites. Date, time, and location are the 3 common things added. You will also include the your complete name and that of your fiance, as well as the bride’s folks, paraphrasing that they are the ones pronouncing the union. A small poem and reading is also popular for marriage invites. By doing them yourself, you’ve got more control over the design and wording, potentially making them more unique that those done by printing firms. Do not feel like you should spend thousands to have a pretty wedding!

Is the art of quilting dying out? One might think so. The level of ability, patience, and concentration needed for covering makes it appear as if it might be a dying art. But, truthfully, quilting remains a popular practice among a select group of people.
What is quilting? When layers of fabric are sewn together and full of material, this is regarded as quilting. The 2 pieces of fabric form a pocket of sorts and the material within frequently cotton based supplies the heat for which duvets are known. Covering commenced as early as the 12th century when primitive civilizations used bits of fabric to stitch together for heat. As covering developed, the strategy of pulling together available material into a cohesive design endured. Hand-crafted quilts of the time were created with the use of needles, thread, and straightforward frames.
Quilting only increased in recognition when it was introduced in America by early settlers. But when the stitching machine was introduced in the 20 th century, the art of home made covering dropped to the wayside briefly. But today you can see many unique designs, some traditional and some quite modern. All of them make great art pieces whether it lies on a bed or is hung on a wall.

Many people are becoming more environmentally conscious about their wedding days and are subsequently having more “green” weddings. A green wedding cuts much of the associated waste that would be generated from the planning and execution of a wedding ceremony out with the intention of keeping the ceremony ecologically positive for the planet.
The most popular means of having a green wedding involve cutting out much of the material waste involved. Many brides, for instance, purchase second hand wedding dresses to help recycle the material. Many wedding parties are now notified about saving a date or the specifics of bridal events via electronic notification instead of paper invitations. Even streamers and other decorative materials can be from 100 percent recycled content.
The benefits of a green wedding can not only be seen in the reduction of waste, but in the reduction of cost. Saving on sending out engraved invitations, buying an expensive brand new dress, or using tons of decorations can help the bride and groom have a little more money to spend on something else, like a honeymoon in a wonderful place in nature.

I love to garden. It’s part of my artistic background showing through. My garden is mostly perennial flowers with an emphasis on roses. But because of my climate, tea roses aren’t reliable so I grow English roses. My English rose season is already mostly over but despite a short blooming season I still love these flowers.
One of my favorites is the famous Rosa Mundi. I don’t know if it’s the unusual striping that intrigues me or the story behind the flower. Legend has it that the rose was named after King Henry the II’s mistress the fair Rosamunde. The rose is a Gallica rose, semi double and has fantastic fragrance. What I like best about it is that each rose’s color and striping is different. Funny thing is that it took 4 years before I got my first bloom. I was about to dig up the shrubs and toss them when the blooms came on and I was well rewarded for my wait.

I’ve got a great Dad and I love to let him know how much I care on Father’s day. Some years I pander to his ultimate interest – golf. My Dad loves golf and now that he’s retired, he plays 3 or 4 times a week during the best of the season. So what could be better than a nifty new golf accessory for his bag or golf cart? I’ve gotten him everything from a fun animal golf headcover to more serious gifts such as a golf gps unit. No matter how fun or serious it is, he just loves it. This year when you get something for ‘dear ol’ Dad’ get him something that he really wants – he’ll love you for it.

Do you know someone who’s planning a wedding? This is high season for brides, grooms and weddings. I’ve been married for more than 20 years now. So the concept of wedding favors wasn’t something that was in vogue back when I was married. Now we did get bridesmaids gifts and groomsmen gifts. But favors for the guests? Is not an invitation to the reception enough? Maybe I’m a bit old fashioned. I suppose I am. But with all the expense that a wedding entails, it seems that there would be a better spend of money than investing in favors.

I am happy to live an art filled life. But when I say that I am not limiting myself to classic art or a more standard definition of the term. For me the art filled life can be totally encompassing, whether I’m looking at the art of Nature or the beautiful art that children really are.
As we go along I will write on a variety of subjects about all of my life, my art filled life. Stay tuned!

Been looking for a good way to introduce what BryozoanArts.com is all about to the world. I did find this neat excerpt that I thought I’d share:
So, Time for A Little Lesson.
In dictionary terms, a zooid is defined as a biologic organism which, through non-sexual means and independent choice, conjoins with other zooids to form a colony capable of locomotion.” In sociological circles, this theme can be expanded to mean that we as individual people can do more by working together than by working alone. Essentially, teamwork is good and beneficial. bryozoan arts came about with this idea in mind. Not only an online store created to fulfill my own selfish desires of being surrounded by good well-crafted art, it is also designed to bring together a group of creative people interested in supporting unique craftsmanship. bryozoan arts is made up of independent artists that create well-crafted goods and strive to be an active member in the local arts.
After all, are we not all in this together?
