It’s no secret that everybody loves Fall, whether you adore it for the slight chill in the air, the smell of the oncoming winter, the glorious and fun vacations, or the brightly coloured leaves, everybody can find something to enjoy about the months of Fall. The red maple tree is one of the faves of gardeners and tree planters in the US because it’s a quickly maturing tree that offers a dense shade and also offers some of the most brilliant reds, oranges and yellows that Fall has ever seen.

Certain types of this tree are coloured in the autumn colours in the warm summer months and the months of spring and display one more Fall color in the months of Fall, just before Winter. This is one of the most inspiring and pretty displays of color and life that may be found in a deciduous tree. This tree is also one of the most flexible trees in the U. S.

The trees are robust and will conform to each soil type, wherever you decide to plant them. An engaging feature of the red maple tree that many folks don’t realize is that some varieties essentially bear a little red fruit. These trees will flower from late March thru early April-an mystifyingly short blooming time-and will start to supply the little red fruit in the early summer. As well as red leaves, these trees also have twigs and stems that seem to be red also. As well as its fruit-bearing capabilities, this tree’s sap may be employed to make sugar, though it won’t be of the same quality as sugar made of the sap of a sugar maple tree. The red maple tree is capable of being crossed with other maple trees to create phenomenal hybrids which produce not only fruit but also leaves in a big range of colours. These hybrids are a selection of the most fantastic glasses in the tree world.

Remember, if you’re hunting for a simple to control and simple to grow tree which will make your home the envy of the area, you simply can’t fail with a red maple tree-whether you select a standard fiery red, a cross-breed, or one of many other available colours, you will fall madly in love with the colours of Fall all the year round.

I love to garden. It’s part of my artistic background showing through. My garden is mostly perennial flowers with an emphasis on roses. But because of my climate, tea roses aren’t reliable so I grow English roses. My English rose season is already mostly over but despite a short blooming season I still love these flowers.

One of my favorites is the famous Rosa Mundi. I don’t know if it’s the unusual striping that intrigues me or the story behind the flower. Legend has it that the rose was named after King Henry the II’s mistress the fair Rosamunde. The rose is a Gallica rose, semi double and has fantastic fragrance. What I like best about it is that each rose’s color and striping is different. Funny thing is that it took 4 years before I got my first bloom. I was about to dig up the shrubs and toss them when the blooms came on and I was well rewarded for my wait.
