Wall Art placement is a skill in itself. So do not be in a rush to fill that exposed space. We have all heard, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” it’s correct. But in my experience many ways of displaying Art are better than others. Take single vs multiple pieces of art.

A lone tiny picture on an enormous wall surface looks too alone and begs for some company. If you have got a number of tiny works of art they not only bring contrasting beauty and richness to the wall but can be prepared together as a group to make art out of art!

Mats not only enlarge art, but give them a finished touch and dresses them up. 2 layers of matting can add more depth to the art. Art should be placed roughly 6″- 9″ above a settee or a bit of furniture. In order for it to be seen at eye level when you’re seated. Always employ a tape measure and a pencil to mark your centre, and make an experiment with the placement on the floor before making holes on the wall.

Is the art of quilting dying out? One might think so. The level of ability, patience, and concentration needed for covering makes it appear as if it might be a dying art. But, truthfully, quilting remains a popular practice among a select group of people.

What is quilting? When layers of fabric are sewn together and full of material, this is regarded as quilting. The 2 pieces of fabric form a pocket of sorts and the material within frequently cotton based supplies the heat for which duvets are known. Covering commenced as early as the 12th century when primitive civilizations used bits of fabric to stitch together for heat. As covering developed, the strategy of pulling together available material into a cohesive design endured. Hand-crafted quilts of the time were created with the use of needles, thread, and straightforward frames.

Quilting only increased in recognition when it was introduced in America by early settlers. But when the stitching machine was introduced in the 20 th century, the art of home made covering dropped to the wayside briefly. But today you can see many unique designs, some traditional and some quite modern. All of them make great art pieces whether it lies on a bed or is hung on a wall.
